GHSA State Basketball Playoffs

Boys AND Girls Basketball teams have both qualified for the state playoffs!!  Both teams will play on the road Friday night. The Boys will play at St. Pius on Friday at 7:30pm The Girls will play at Oconee County on Friday at 6pm

Basketball & Baseball Postponed today

Region Basketball and Baseball games postponed: We are working with GHSA to determine our options for basketball and will let you know when we know more.  Baseball make up date also TBD.

Region Basketball cancelled tonight

Due to closed roads, we will move tonight’s games to tomorrow night. The game times will be the same and gates will open at 3:00.

Dragons win big to make state playoffs!!

Dragons Varsity Basketball defeats Ridgeland in the Region Quarterfinals tonight 87-47 to qualify for the State Playoffs for the 7th time in school history! Great team effort tonight highlighted by Noah Sutton’s 34 points. Congratulations!!!!

Busy week for the Dragon Nation!!

It is a busy week for the Dragon Nation!  We have winter sports doing some of the most exciting events they have all year and spring sports starting competitions! BASKETBALL The Region Basketball Tournament is all week at SE Whitfield.  Dragonettes play TONIGHT for spot in State Playoffs….Boys play TOMORROW for spot in State Playoffs. 

January Diamond P Award: Brandon Tippens

Our January Diamond P Award goes to Brandon Tippens.  Coach Tippens serves as our Head Wrestling Coach and has done a great job this year! He is always willing to help and work with others and pushes our wrestling program to be the best it can be.  He also serves as the Special Education Department

Tucker Lowe & Noah Sutton named to All-Region 6AAAA Basketball Team!

Congrats to Tucker Lowe & Noah Sutton for being named to the All-Region 6AAAA Boys Basketball team! Both young men have worked hard to get the Dragons the most wins they have had in a season since the 2010-11 school year! Tucker & Noah and their teammates will be at SE Whitfield next week working

Varsity Basketball Ends Regular Season

Our Boys & Girls Basketball Teams ended the season last night with wins over SE Whitfield.   Both teams finished the regular season with 17-8 records.  The 34 regular season wins is the most by the two teams combined in 19 seasons!  Proud of both teams and looking forward to seeing them in the Region tournament
