Wrestlers leave for state in Macon tomorrow!

Wrestlers advance to State!

Wrestling Sectionals were held the last two days in Gwinnett. The top 8 in each weight class move on to the State Championships next weekend. Busy week for the Dragon Nation!!

It is a busy week for the Dragon Nation!  We have winter sports doing some of the most exciting events they have all year and spring sports starting competitions! BASKETBALL The Region Basketball Tournament is all week at SE Whitfield.  Dragonettes play TONIGHT for spot in State Playoffs….Boys play TOMORROW for spot in State Playoffs. 

Dragons impress at Region 6AAAA Championships

The Region 6AAAA Traditional Wrestling Championships were today at PHS. We had 7 wrestlers qualify for sectionals and 2 alternates! CJ Murphy – 1st in 126 lbs Dalton Brunner – 2nd in 195 lbs Zak Price – 3rd in 160 lbs Nate Davis – 4th in 145 lbs Andrew Burrell – 4th in 152 lbs

January Diamond P Award: Brandon Tippens

Our January Diamond P Award goes to Brandon Tippens.  Coach Tippens serves as our Head Wrestling Coach and has done a great job this year! He is always willing to help and work with others and pushes our wrestling program to be the best it can be.  He also serves as the Special Education Department

January Male Multi-Sport Athlete of Month: Chase Nelson

Congratulations to Chase Nelson for being selected our Male Multi-Sport athlete of the month! Chase was a big part of our football team and is helping our wrestling program now!  We are proud of his hard work with balancing school and multiple sports!  Congrats Chase!!

January Booster Club of the Month: Wrestling

Our January Booster Club of the Month goes to the Wrestling Booster Club.  They always work hard but this month they hosted a very successful Burnt Mountain Classic and they have the Region 6AAAA Traditional Championships this weekend!  Thank you to our Wrestling Booster Club for their support of our student-athletes!!!
